Blake Lively
BLAKE ELLENDER LIVELY (August 25, 1987, Los Angeles) is an American actress and model, known for playing the sexy billionaire Serena van der Woodsen on the series Gossip girl (The CW). She has also appeared in films, including Admitted, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, The Town, Green Lantern, and Savages.
Lively was born in Tarzana, Los Angeles, California, the daughter of actors Elaine Lively and Ernie Lively (born Ernest W. Brown). She was raised in a practicing Southern Baptist convention family. Blake is the youngest of five siblings; she has an older brother, Ernie Lively, two half-sisters, Lori and Robyn, and a half-brother, Jason. Her parents and all of her siblings are, or have been, in the entertainment industry. During her childhood, her parents took her with them to acting classes where they taught because they did not want to leave her with a babysitter. During the summer between juniors and seniors in high school, her brother Eric asked her agent to send her on auditions over a period of a few months. From these few auditions, she landed the role of Bridget for The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Lively filmed her scenes between her junior and senior years at Burbank High School.
